A few tips to help you get your Marquee Furniture Hire right….

Round tables – A standard size round table seats up to 10 guests comfortably. 

Round tables make the best use of space in a marquee and are a much more sociable option.  Many bride and grooms use a round table for their top table preferring to be part of their wedding reception rather than viewing it from a far!

Trestle table (rectangular) if using them end on end seat 6 guests.

Trestle tables create a banquet style dining option and is currently quite popular.  We are often asked to provide benches to go with trestle tables which look great and give a medieval look to your celebrations. However, they are not great for elderly guests due to there being no back to them and you have to clamber in and out of them as they don’t individually move!

Chivari – Limewash Wooden Chair with ivory cushions, lovely chair for more formal celebrations or those looking for a touch of vintage luxury. 

Wooden Folding – The perfect option for the casual country style party, looks great in those summer parties in the garden.

White Plastic Bistro Chair – A basic chair, but one that is very comfortable and you can add your own cushions.  These chairs are also very happy to be left outside!

Whiskey Barrels

We are often asked for tall drinks tables (known as poseur tables)  we have found that these are not suitable for marquee flooring or uneven gardens, they need to be on solid level surfaces. 

We have a great alternative, traditional wooden whiskey casks, they are very sturdy and add a very rustic look to your garden/marquee.  

Bar

You can use a couple of trestle tables to serve drinks from or to ensure your guests feel get served in style, we have a free standing bar that you can hire.

Having a bar at your party will provide a central gathering point for your guests. Be careful where you locate it to ensure you don’t have two separate parties going on!

Dance Floor and Staging!

If you intend to dance at your party then a dance floor is a must, especially if you intend to kick off your shoes and strutting your stuff all night long!

We offer wooden dance floors and can build them to the size which suits your marquee and number of guests.

Depending on your entertainment, they may prefer to be slightly raised of the ground, particularly if it is live entertainment.  They will need somewhere solid and flat to place the drums and or keyboards.  Medstead Marquees can provide staging, again size will depend on marquee size and numbers in the band.
